Ask: Redesign the Eugene Saturday Market site to make it more visually appealing and easy-to-use.
Challenge: The current site is cluttered, confusing, and inconsistent in its design.
Solution: Redesign the site while maintaining the most important content and brand personality. I drew inspiration from their current design, which features a rainbow. I kept the rainbow theme throughout my design and simplified the type used to make the page more flowable and easier to read. I chose a hand-drawn feel for designs on the food and music pages to emphasize the identity of the organization, which features vendors selling hand-made art and other goods. The typeface is interesting without being difficult to read, and the simplified design prevents the site from being overwhelming to visitors.
